Why did she open a Candy Bouquet? "I wanted to expand my current business and I knew from the beginning that Candy Bouquet would be a huge success."
She said her favorite thing about her CB business is seeing the look on a small child’s face when they walk in the door.
Joyce’s role model is our owner and President, Margaret McEntire, "she gives every franchisee the opportunity to be as successful as they choose. When you purchase into Candy Bouquet, you choose the level of your success,” Joyce said. “I am successful because all of my staff treats every customer with the utmost respect. We always go above and beyond to help every customer with whatever his or her needs are. It will always come back to you."
Her family consists of a "wonderful" husband of 22 years, Mike; two boys, Brandon, age 21, and Johnathan, age 20; and two-month-old granddaughter, Chloe.
Her hobbies are reading, music, and spending time with her family; her favorite musical artists are Conway Twitty and George Jones; and her all-time favorite movies are "Gone with the Wind” and "My Fair Lady." Joyce’s favorite food is chocolate, which goes right along with her business! And, her proudest accomplishment is her family.
Her pet peeve is people who think they are better than someone else.
"If I have learned anything in life, it’s that learning from your mistakes defines your character. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I truly believe you get out of life what you put into it," Joyce said.
